John Muir Country Park
With over 40 miles of coastline, East Lothian is home to some of the best beaches in Scotland. I’ve always loved being by the coast—a place where land meets sea. It melts away every tension, making me feel instantly at ease and relaxed.
This painting forms part of a series, in which I’ve chosen to depict three spots in East Lothian that I love the most. The series was inspired by a visit to John Muir Country Park in October, 2020. It was my first time there. I loved how the forest lead to the sea. My favourite view was looking back inland, through the forest. All of those greens and browns.
